Do Something Great
You’ve made it through the week. You’re still settling into the new routine, the new tools and the new conversations. For some reason you feel as if you haven’t progressed as far as you thought you would…The conversations you are having with yourself are less than supportive.
Time for the mindset mambo…Get out of your own way!
“Stop Stopping Yourself”…Do something great. Talk to others the way you should be talking to yourself. Call someone, ask how they are and what you can do to support them. Or remind someone that they are doing amazing things. Let someone know how important they are to you. Read a testimonial you’ve received.
Now, go back to your own conversations and tell yourself the same things…
A Little Progress
The week is flying by and you still have all those calls to make, proposals to get out, following up from meetings and you are ready to throw your hands up because you are overwhelmed.
Breathe and prioritize. Do the things that have to get done first. Follow with the things that need to get done and those that you would like to get done will come after that. Don’t try to do everything or you will do nothing at all.
Start small and the process will begin.
A little progress each day adds up to big results.
Don’t let your want for perfection become procrastination…Strive for progress not perfection!
Take Another Step
Remember how heavy that telephone felt when you had to make sales calls? Remember how blank that page was when you were starting your book? Remember how empty your thoughts were when you were walking into that important meeting? You thought everything had to be perfect and you needed to be 100% ready…Time to rewind…
“Strive for progress not perfection”…Take another step. That next call scheduled an appointment and that client became your center of influence. That blank page filled up with important words and became the book of choice for your target audience…and those empty thoughts brought you to the greatest opportunity to do what you love for those you really care about.
Perfection is overrated. Perfection is boring. Perfection is not realistic. Perfection is doing a lot of little things really well…and consistently. Perfection is being ready to dive in and do your best and keep moving forward. Take another step today towards what you are meant to be doing. What step are you taking?
Today Is Your Day
We have so many disclaimers when we talk about ourselves or what we do. Any of these sound familiar?
Someone tells you they like your outfit-You say, “This old thing?”
Someone tells you about a project-You say, “As soon as I get that certification I’ll look into it.”
Someone tells you to share your message-You say, “Let me practice more and then I’ll think about it.”
“Stop waiting until…Be extraordinary today.” Today is your day! If we keep waiting our day will never get here. While we do have to be somewhat ready, we don’t have to wait until everything is perfect. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes progress.
Go out and do something great…TODAY!
Keep Moving Forward
It’s too hard…No one will want it…Who Am I Kidding…When it’s perfect I’ll do it… Any of those sound familiar? In order to reach your dreams or goals, you need to push through your limits and past your comfort zone. We would all love to have that magic bullet to make things happen quickly as we all look for instant gratification. But unfortunately, there are no shortcuts…that is, unless you want to be mediocre at best and I know, that isn’t the case. When you hit that wall of limiting beliefs…push a little harder and I would bet you will push right through and you will start to think why was it so challenging in the first place?
“70% of people who start a plan, quit. Except you. Not. This. Time.”
Keep moving forward. People are waiting to hear your message. It’s time to share your brilliance. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes progress.
Your greatest talent is so much more powerful than your biggest fear.
Without struggle there is no progress!
