Delegating and Smiling….Is That An Oxymoron?

I don’t know about you but I would like to admit I am a control freak…not in the freakiest of the sense but a freak just the same.  To me it is just easier if I do everything rather than teaching, showing, training, suggesting or any other term you want to you, anyone else.  But that needed to change.

When you are starting a business or revamping one, you are going to be pulled in so many different directions. There is marketing, content, sales and delivery, just to name a few major pieces that you need to address.  Which comes first? Which is the most important? Can you do it all?  The answer is yes… BUT you will be in the same boat you were in when you decided you didn’t have any balance in your life and one of the reasons you decided to go off on your own was to find your passion.

That was an important component that you were missing in your life and you would do whatever it took to find that….right?  Isn’t that what you promised yourself and your family and your friends?

What I am telling you is you have to do it, no matter how painful it may be.  I am living proof that you will still get up in the morning even if you don’t control everything around you. Recently I made a major decision and have brought someone on board that will be marketing my products and services alongside me.  Is she me? No! Does she have all the answers I would have? No! Is she willing to learn? YES! And finally, is she excited about it? YES!

Isn’t that what was needed? I believe I am finding that win-win situation everyone always talks about. I made a promise to myself, my friends and my family that I would have some balance and by George, I think I’m finding it!
